Yu Hui was expected by her parents to be a doctor. However, her talent in the arts and dancing led her a long journey from the northern city of Shenyang down to Shanghai, to take on an exciting career - acting. She went to Shanghai College of Performing Arts to formalize her career. During that period, she casted the first role in When the Sun Set (Ji3 Du4 Xi1 Yang2 Hong2), a big hit from Shanghai Movie Studio. The Hui went on to cast in many big hits including the recent one Shanghainess in Tokyo. She certainly found herself a comfortable niche in the crowded city of Shanghai. |
