BEIJING - Chinese international defender Sun Jihai has become a transfer target for former European Cup winners AC Milan, according to the Chinese news agency Xinhua. Sun, who spent a year at English first division side Crystal Palace along with compatriot Fan Zhiyi, has attracted interest from the Serie A giants as well as newly-promoted Torino, the agency quoted officials at Sun's club Dalian Shide as saying. "Both AC Milan and Turin want Sun Jihai and his transfer is being discussed," Lin Lefeng, vice chairman of the club, said. "But it is only in the phase of negotiation and whether we will make a deal is unknown until the World Cup Asian Zone qualifiers end." Sun is currently helping China attempt to qualify for their first World Cup finals. Bora Milutinovic's side are four points clear at the top of Group B in Asia's qualifying tournament with three games to go.
