saga again. Hongkong reports said she settled her divorce last year in double-quick time because she paid off ex-husband Dou Wei.
So she could have custody of their daughter, Dou Jingtong.
In return, Dou Wei got HK$420,000 worth of assets which included their three-room apartment worth HK$300,000 and a jeep worth $120,000.
The couple filed for divorce early last year.
Asked about the secret "settlement" last week, Dou Wei was indignant.
"Nonsense! I bought the apartment and the car myself! I don't drive the jeep anymore. I have work to do, can't talk!"
Meanwhile, Faye's manager said Dou Wei never asked for the car nor the apartment.
"That Jingtong goes with Faye was a decision they made and not as an exchange after splitting their assets.
"Dou Wei is not that sort of person. Besides, the divorce was because of a third party. Don't believe the rumours."
His affair with ex-girlfriend Gao Yuan had made headlines in March and Dou Wei told reporters that he and Faye had been distant in a three-year marriage gone cold.
Indeed, the couple have started dating other people again.
Faye, 31, has found herself a new squeeze in Nicholas Tse, the younger bad boy prince of Hongkong pop.
At the filming of a new music video for her latest Pepsi commercial with Aaron Kwok, the normally media-shy Faye agreed to speak to reporters.
Not that she said very much.
Was she in such a good mood because she was in love?
"Don't use such tactics," Faye told the curious reporters. "I won't fall for it."
Faye and boyfriend Nicholas are currently on opposite sides of the soft drinks war. She is endorsing Pepsi Cola, while boyfriend Nicholas is advertising for Coca Cola.
