Carina Lau Celebrated B-day in Studio

Hong Kong - Radio Television Hong Kong presented Carina Lau with a birthday cake recently when the actress was at the station to record a drama. Lau, whose birthday is on 8 December, will be celebrating with friends in town this year. Asked if boyfriend and actor Tony Leung would attend, Lau said she would only organise the party if Leung footed the bill. Leung and artist Leslie Cheung will go neck-to-neck when they play the same role in two separate versions of the same musical. The producer of one of the musicals is a friend of Lau who gave Leung a major role in the production. Lau said the details had not been confirmed yet. When asked whether she thought Leung or Cheung, playing the same character, would do better, she said she would watch both versions. But she added Cheung would probably do a better job because he had more experience on stage than her boyfriend. When asked if the producer asked her to play a part she said she could not because she was not into singing. [HK Standard]
