TVB Has Its Own "ER"

Hong Kong - It looks like copycats don't win, after all. With the huge success of the American drama series, ER, the hospital drama which won countless Emmys, TVB has done their own spinoff. It's called Healing Hands, and it has been on the 9:30 pm primetime slot for about a month now. However, even with a script remarkably similar to ER _ about the relationships between doctors themselves and with their patients _ the ratings have not exactly been impressive. And even with a cast consisting of Ada Choi and Flora Chan, two of TVB's hottest properties, Healing Hands was not able to pull things off. [HK Standard]
