may be suing Singapore concert promoter Cycle Master Holdings for failing to pay her and her crew for her recent gig in Singapore on December 15, GrooveAsia reported.According to CoCo, she has not received the remaining one-third of the payment, which was supposed to be fully paid a week before the gig. However, a spokesman from the promoter refuted saying, "I have already paid her $150,000 for her show in Singapore and that payment is in full.''
Another $50,000 had been paid to the singer for a concert in Kuala Lumpur (which another concert promoter subcontracted by Cycle Master Holdings is in-charge of), said Cycle Master Holdings in a faxed statement the following day. But as CoCo did not get the outstanding $100,000 before the gig scheduled on December 16, the show was eventually cancelled.
The statement added that Cycle Master Holdings is proceeding with legal action against the subcontracted promoter, as well as the singer over her ''defamatory remarks'' made during the Singapore concert -- CoCo told the audience that she and some of her crew had not been paid and that they would take legal action against the concert promoter for breach of contract and failure to settle payments.
Other disputes involved her not being informed of her schedule in Singapore. According to her sister cum manager Nancy Lee, some events were cancelled without their knowledge while they were informed of others at the last minute. But according to the organizer, the singer had been faxed her itinerary.
