HK Police After "Provocative" Movie

Hong Kong police are seeking legal advice on possible legal action against a "provocative" movie in which a policewoman tracks down a rapist targeting women in uniform, SCMP reported, citing a police spokesman.The movie, Raped by an Angel II: The Uniform Fan, is starried by Athena Chu , who is a policewoman investigating a series of rape cases involving uniformed women.The category IIB film, which has been showing in 25 cinemas since last week, is promoted by posters and newspaper ads featuring a woman in an unbuttoned police uniform. Movie stars wearing police uniforms without permission could face a fine of $1,000 and six months in jail. The production company could also be prosecuted for aiding and abetting the offence. The Television and Entertainment Licensing Authority has received seven complaints about indecency in the movie and its ads. Film producer, Wong Jing, said he had no intention of degrading anyone or any institution, and that there should be no interference in commercial activities.
