Kelly Chen Plays Student Role

Hong Kong - Kelly Chen is starring as a Chinese foreign student in Japan in a television series that will be released on 20 January. Of all the actors in the show Chen has the highest salary and her manager says she makes more money on this series than she would in a movie. The Japanese television production company treats her well, paying for her hotel accommodation, airfare, a translator and other perks. Each week she spends four days in Japan, makes an appearance in each episode and speaks in Japanese. Her latest CD recording in Putonghua should be in Hong Kong stores tomorrow.
